Ingredients:
* 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
* 1/2 cup heavy cream
* 1/2 cup milk
* 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
* 1/4 cup butter, melted
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
* Fresh chives, for garnish
Instructions:
* Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
* Prepare potatoes: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the sliced potatoes and cook until tender but not falling apart, about 5-7 minutes. Drain the potatoes well.
* Make the sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, milk, Parmesan cheese, melted butter, salt, and pepper.
* Layer the potatoes: In a baking dish, arrange half of the potatoes in a single layer. Pour half of the sauce over the potatoes. Repeat with the remaining potatoes and sauce.
* Bake: Bake the gratin in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown and bubbly.
* Garnish: Garnish with fresh chives and serve immediately.
